So I made a pretty dumb mistake recently. I was cleaning up my files in VSCode—always a dangerous move—and ended up deleting something important. Yeah, VSCode wouldn’t open after that. Panic set in, and I felt like I was about to enter the coding dark ages.
In desperation (and to say that “i use vim btw”), I decided to give Neovim a shot. People rave about it, right? Well, let me tell you, switching to Neovim was like trying to use a rotary phone after being on smartphones for years :) The interface looked cool, but I felt completely lost.
I spent a week wrestling with Neovim, trying to remember basic commands and figuring out how to save files.
After countless failed attempts to navigate Neovim and some questionable Googling, I finally got VSCode back up and running. tough week.
So, here’s to VSCode. Neovim was an experience, but I’m happy to be back in familiar territory…
(I’ll still give it a shot when im not focussing on pLaCeMeNts)
